Carers Registration

Do you look after someone?

If the answer is yes, who looks after you?

Carers are people who provide help and support to a family member, friend, or neighbour who cannot manage on their own because of an illness, disability, or old age.

Carers can be any age.

Many carers do not see themselves as carers for different reasons. You may be looking after your:

Husband, wife, or partner

Siblings

Child with disabilities

Friend or neighbour

Parents

Please let us know if you are a carer

The surgery needs to know if you care for someone to ensure that you are supported effectively. Part of this is giving you priority access at the surgery to appointments and vaccinations (Flu and COVID).

Your information will remain confidential within your GP records and will not be shared with other agencies.

If you would like further help or information, please contact us:

Debs Mullins is our dedicated Carers Champion for Bridge and Monkseaton Medical Practice. Debs works on Thursday & Friday.
